Lady Justice Joyce Aluoch - Makes it a first for Kenya at the ICC.

Lady Justice Joyce Aluoch of Kenya has done Kenya proud after accepting her position as  a judge of the International Criminal Court. Her appointment comes as the country debates whether to send perpetrators of the post election violence of 2008 to the ICC or try them locally through a Special Tribunal.

This Tuesday the 23rd June 2009, Leigh Day & Co will issue a claim for compensation for torture against the British Government on behalf of 22 Kenyans.  The claimants are now in their 70s and 80s and have travelled to London

As they wave machetes with gleaming blades, rioters in Kenya's sprawling slums say they have two things on their minds: protesting Kenya's presidential election and Barack Obama.
The United States presidential candidate - whose father was Kenyan - was a favourite son of the nation, which erupted into violence after hotly-contested elections in December.
